This July, Fitzroy Street Precinct is turning up the heat with a full month of comedy to help you beat the winter blues. Escape the cold, and warm up, with an exciting line-up of stand-up, storytelling, and surprises in one of Melbourne’s most iconic entertainment strips.
Fitzroy Street is proud to play host to the St Kilda Comedy Festival, running July 16 – July 19 with four nights in four venues. Delivering a rotating cast of hilarious performers to different spots each night, expect top-tier stand-up, emerging talent and plenty of surprises along the way.
Plus, throughout July, local venues across Fitzroy Street will be hosting their own FREE comedy nights and open mics – so there’s always something to laugh at, no matter when you visit.

Laughs at Lucien

Get ready for a night of laughs, great food and drinks at this free comedy night!
Hosted by Alessio Carducci, a Melbourne comedian whose Instagram suggests his life is a complete disaster (and that he actively makes it worse), the evening features a stellar lineup of some of Australia’s rising comedy talent.
Matt O’Neill brings his unique blend of absurdity and dark humour that has been turning heads on the Melbourne comedy scene since 2017. Anna Perry has spent more than a decade sharing stages with comedy legends including Jimeoin, Kitty Flanagan and Ross Noble, while Montana Papadinis, a 2025 RAW Comedy Grand Finalist, has performed across Australia, Europe and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Entry is free, but the venue is intimate, so bookings are highly recommended. Walk-ins are welcome if space allows.
Make a night of it with a delicious raclette special for $25. Arrive early and take advantage of Happy Hour from 5pm–7pm, with $10 beer and cider pints, $16 classic cocktails and 30% off wine by the glass.

Looking for a midweek laugh? This free comedy night has you covered.
Hosted by Joel Temperly, a self-described bitter Melburnian who likes his Melbourne Bitter. He’s a two-time MICF RAW Comedy Judge’s Pick and has slung jokes at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe and Perth Fringe.
Garry Johal brings unapologetically risqué, observational comedy that pushes boundaries and leaves no topic untouched. He’s joined by Nicky Barry, Melbourne’s “Bawdy Dame”, delivering razor-sharp, award-nominated comedy packed with cheeky, high-energy storytelling and Jake Zukerman, a national runner-up at the 2026 MICF RAW Comedy competition, known for dry, clever punchlines that sneak up and land hard.
Come early and make the most of Happy Hour between 3pm–6pm with $9 pints, $9 wines and $14 espresso martinis, plus dinner’s sorted with a burger and schooner of Mountain Goat or a glass of Greasy Fingers wine for just $20.

Hosted by Firdi Billimoria, a Melbourne comic known for his cheeky chaos and sharp storytelling. He’s popped up on shows like Thank God You’re Here and Mad As Hell, and he always brings big laughs and a few stories your mum wouldn’t approve of.
David Rose follows with smart, worldly stand‑up shaped by touring internationally and racking up over 20 million online views. His anxious, self‑deprecating humour lands hard and fast.
Jess Pearman brings high‑energy storytelling and rock‑vocalist confidence, delivering bold, personality‑packed sets that light up any room.
And Max Flett, a homegrown Melbourne comedian and MC, rounds out the lineup. He runs rooms across the city and has performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Comedy Untamed and more.

Get ready for a night of big laughs, great food and even better company at this free comedy night – hosted by MC Bradford Oakes, a stand‑up veteran with over 35 years on the circuit. Bradford has headlined and emceed major comedy rooms across Australia, performed internationally in the UK, Singapore, New Zealand and Dubai, and appeared in more than 20 Melbourne International Comedy Festival shows. He brings decades of stagecraft and sharp timing to every gig.
He’ll be steering a killer lineup featuring:
Evan Hocking – A rising star known for sharp wit, infectious humour and turning everyday moments into laugh‑out‑loud stories. Performing since he was 18, Evan has built a loyal following with his warm, relatable style.
Jess Pearman – Brings high‑energy storytelling and rock‑vocalist confidence, delivering bold, personality‑packed sets that light up any room.
Wayne Deakin – A stand‑up comedian of 20 years global touring, Wayne has headlined in more than 28 countries, spent a decade performing at London’s biggest comedy clubs, and regularly tours with the Australian Defence Forces and British Army.
